I’ve been in a weird slump all week — I blame allergies. But finally, today things seem to be righted again. I am racing through work (and taking off tomorrow for my sister’s graduation), my boyfriend is taking me out to Le Diplomate in D.C. (the talk of the town! French fanciness!), the weather is nice, I fit in to one of my favorite pencil skirts again and I am drinking the most delicious skinny caramel latte from Starbucks.
Have you meditated on what make’s you happy recently? I’ve been focusing on this recently in my yoga meditations after reading this interview with Leanne Vogel of Healthful Persuit, a sweet nutritionist blogger I follow.

Weekends are the best because i’ve time to cook. Dinner one is quinoa with corn, black olives, grilled pineapples, cashew nuts and spinach in a lemon chilli dressing
In March 2013 I was 150 pounds and resolved to get fit for my 24th birthday. Since March 1, 2013 I have lost 8 pounds, averaging -.8 pounds per week. My goal weight is 130, I have 12 pounds to go, and my birthday is this week.
Yes, my progress has been slow, but it has been steady, and I am so unbelievably proud of myself. I may not be at my goal weight for this birthday, but I know I will be by next year. I am only 8 pounds down, but I feel so radically different and improved. To be in control and confident in your fitness is one of the most satisfying feelings I have ever experienced. I just wanted to thank you all for the constant sources of information, education and positivity.
We can do this!
